Ahhhhh! I need somebody to go down to the mall and get me some bedroom slippers or maybe a fluffy bathroom mat that I can cut in half and duck tape to my massive feet. I have no common sense! First thing this morning I beat up my feet and knees doing lunges and squats with my trainer and then I did 2 Aqua Fit classes. The second class I picked a corner and just ignored the class and jumped around like crazy as I thought I wasn’t working hard enough. Then I jumped around some more on my own for another half hour. I like jumping around in the water. I really can’t jump much at all on land. Now I need a nap really bad and my work day has only just started. This is going to be a long day and as per usual I will probably wake up as soon as I leave the office and be staring at the ceiling of my bedroom tonight instead of sleeping. I also scraped all the skin off of my feet jumping on tiled pool bottom too long, hence the give me slippers call for help!
Yesterday I was annoyed as I often am in general. I was attempting the front crawl in the pool and unfortunately at my weight I am just too buoyant. I can feel that my butt is out of the water ‘cause there is just that much junk in the trunk. My back is arched too much because my breasts want to head for the surface as well. When I do the back crawl all is fine. My body is supported low in the water by my inner-tube butt and the chest is no longer an issue. Unfortunately you can’t zone out doing back crawl or you will hit the wall so that workout becomes boring fast.
Well, I’m several weeks into my new routine. I still haven’t seen much happiness from the scale, but I am using a different scale so that could be a factor. I look a little different so something is going on as a result of the extra exercise. With 2 hours of swimming 5 days a week I have gotten kind of dried out and itchy and my hair is going all tumble weed on me. I do feel better as my joints are happier with all the water work. I guess I need to stop whining about the scale and realize what a big deal it is to feel better! The whining has resulted in me realizing how messed up my relationship with food is. I have been extra anxious about eating right since what I have been eating wasn’t resulting in weight loss. Well guess what happens when I am all anxious about food?
Today I began my new lifestyle of decadent, relaxed living. I hope! NO! I know!!!! New Lifestyle. It sounds like a new magazine with me in my lazy-boy on the cover. When I decided that going back to swimming more often was the key to getting results with my fitness and stress I also decided to put in a request at work to switch my hours to Noon to 8PM and they said yes. I know I was shocked as well. I mean I don’t mess around too much but I didn’t know if the decision makers knew that. Of course I started this experiment right after we had a time change so my body is going to figure I am working from 1PM to 9PM. I’ll will likely be a complete zombie by the last hour.
Don’t get excited yet! I still have to prove my theory through rigorous trials! I want to let my ten loyal readers know first! Yeah, I am using exclamation points on the end of each sentence. I am restraining myself from capitalizing every line so … deal with it! There is a possibility that I have found the magic bullet that allows me to lose weight almost effortlessly! I know! I know! I am this close to tears believe me! Will this cure work for you? UHhhh, I dunno!
You would think that swimming is perfect for a Fat Chick since we float and you would be right but as somebody that has been a swimmer all her life it is disconcerting and well annoying that this butt floats too much! I can’t get in the right position for breast stroke and as a former synchronized swimmer well this butt needs a keel to keep me from tipping over whenever I try to show off my cool moves! There is little doubt that swimming of one sort or another is the perfect sport for the injured, unfit, the heavy and accident prone. It’s just a lot harder to hurt yourself in the water and the water provides a lot of support for your body. If you are just starting out then a beginner aqua fit class is the place to start. If you are on your own or at a lake you can get a good workout with just a noodle.
