What is the deal when you can’t buy a vest anymore? In my opinion the vest is a great piece of clothing. You have a plain dress that shows off too many lumps. No problem put on a long vest all is forgiven. Outfit not professional enough for work? Get out the vest. Want to have all eyes on your face? Ruffled blouse with a vest. Funky? Vest! Stomach pooch? Vest! Is it because of those people that have vests with cats or horses all over them? Maybe it was the Christmas vests. They killed the industry didn’t they? I had to go to OSFcostumerentals to find any pictures of vests I liked. Apparently my taste is stuck in 1930.
You would think that swimming is perfect for a Fat Chick since we float and you would be right but as somebody that has been a swimmer all her life it is disconcerting and well annoying that this butt floats too much! I can’t get in the right position for breast stroke and as a former synchronized swimmer well this butt needs a keel to keep me from tipping over whenever I try to show off my cool moves! There is little doubt that swimming of one sort or another is the perfect sport for the injured, unfit, the heavy and accident prone. It’s just a lot harder to hurt yourself in the water and the water provides a lot of support for your body. If you are just starting out then a beginner aqua fit class is the place to start. If you are on your own or at a lake you can get a good workout with just a noodle.
For many years there was one rule that could not be broken. Nobody is seeing me in a bathing suit ever! Well when I joined the gym 5 years ago at 446 Lbs there was not a lot of exercises or machines I could work out on. There was certainly no getting down on the floor for some crunches because there was no guarantee I would be able to get back up. It only made sense that the pool was the place I belonged. My first few months I wore a regular one piece bathing suit with bike shorts underneath and a bra. The bike shorts and even the bathing suit didn’t hold up too well to swimming and soaking in the spa every day. I probably looked more conspicuos with my extra layers than if I had just dressed in a regular swimsuit.
