No more messin’ around! I have not written a single article in December unbelievable! Yeah! Yeah! I have lots of excuses one of which is biting me in the back right now, but that is not a good enough reason to be neglecting my blog. So what have I learned in December… Hmmmm. Well sitting around feeling sorry for yourself doesn’t get you anyplace. That is one of my go to comfortable places. Somehow I have it stuck in my mind that when you are in trouble if you just hide in your cave and don’t move it can’t get any worse. The reality for me is that I need to drag myself over to the pool and move. Clears out the garbage rolling around in my brain and gets the physical parts working. At least I didn’t eat too much junk and actually I did get to the pool some. I have some good friends that kicked my arse repeatedly. Thanks guys! Still working on it!
Logically I know that I have problems with stress and anxiety. Emotionally? Illogically? Psychotically? Living in stress is a place I know, I understand and I feel comfortable. When I have a deadline buzz going on I am focused and racing and in the moment and producing. I enjoy the adrenaline and testing of my abilities right up until I realize I will not meet the deadline or the project is finished and now what.
It’s Moanday!! I was enjoying the wonderful weather we are having, but then I was called into work early and missed a meet up with a friend and then the worst!! DUM! Dumb! DUMB! I ate chocolate! Why do I do this? I can’t digest chocolate! How many times do I need to learn this lesson? UGH! Yeah I poured two cups of coffee on top of that chocolate just to be certain I would feel sick! I am going direct you fine people to some lovely infographics over at Greatist.com while I deal with the results of my foolishness.
Hey it’s Mooday not Moanday ‘cause I’m drinking my milk. I know milk was designed to make little baby cows into monster heffers as fast as possible. The thing is there is one thing my tummy always gets along with and that is milk so it is my go to breakfast drink as morning is the time my stomach is its most grumbly! Anyway don’t let me waste your day gabbing about my various ailments. It’s sunny here are the air is fresh so when you can get outside today and enjoy. Today I am bringing to you the best of Fitboggin 12. I didn’t attend as I am new to this blogging thing and I don’t usually know what’s going on until it is over. Kind of like air shows. You never find out there is one until some massive bomber buzzes by your house. I guess they don’t buzz more of a rumble! Here is a write up of what happened at the “When you Have a Lot to Lose” talk. I am addicted to people’s success stories and struggles so I enjoyed this article. There was a great group participation talk on Self Acceptance. The hosts passed … Continue reading
Genetically Modified corn or GM corn or Round Up Ready corn was in the news this week. A French study using 200 albino Sprague-Dawley rats that ate GM corn was just released which suggested that eating Monsanto’s GM corn causes cancerous tumors. “Six groups – three male and three female – were fed Monsanto GM maize with Roundup weed killer consisting of 11 percent of their diet, 22 percent or 33 percent. Six other groups were given Monsanto GM maize in the same percentage amounts, but had no Roundup sprayed on them. Another six groups were given Roundup weed killer in their water similar to the levels found in U.S. tap water. The remaining two groups acted as control groups and were fed non-genetically modified maize and water without Roundup weed killer.”
Sorry folks I have been busy lately and have not had the time to write. Hey, this could be a win win! I have been tired the last few months and it has been hard to put a good effort into my workouts. Quite frankly I have been just coming in and hoping the energy is there or it will show up at some point. There is no mystery about why I am messed up. My sleep pattern is off and I am trying to lose weight and therefore am eating fewer calories. In the past I have often felt more energized with fewer calories actually I have often felt that way with less sleep. Yep I know I’m weird! So what can I do to recharge and become more alert right now this minute so that I can put in a good showing?
Dear Disney, I am very disappointed in you. When you came out with that Habit Heros attraction at Epcot with the associated game, I figured you were just misguided. You tried to teach children about healthy habits and you just stepped a little lot too far into shaming them. It was a mistake to have animated fitness super heros Will Power and Callie Stenics teach villain Lead Bottom the error of his ways. Particularly as Lead Bottom’s bouncing tummy was played for laughs and ridicule. The idea did not go over well and was cancelled. I thought that would be the end of it. Disney learned its lesson. Next thing you know Disney is launching the Designer Villains limited edition dolls and make-up products. Well look at this, obese villain Ursula from The Littlest Mermaid has lost a lot of weight. These things happen. OK, I wouldn’t have thought Disney would want to get burned twice interesting.
